Nissan UK this week announced the availability of a special, limited edition of its popular Navara pick-up. On sale now, the top-end Nissan Navara Trek-1° is based on the top-spec Tekna trim grade and available only in double cab body style. With only 400 units coming to the UK, the Trek-1° is priced at £35,065 and adds a handful of toys and contrasting decals. Its name apparently stems from the geographical location of the Navarre desert in northern Spain, at -1° longitude.
Exclusive extras for the Trek-1° include black sport styling bars, twin LED spot lamps, black side styling bars, black 18-inch six-spoke alloys and a new load bed cover, hinged at the cab end and raised via dual gas struts.
It is powered by the range-standard 2.3-litre dCi 190 engine, which offers a useful 190ps and 450Nm from just 1,500rpm and returns claimed economy figures of 44.9 mpg for the six-speed manual and 40.1mpg for the seven-speed auto 'box. All Navara models offer on-demand AWD as standard. Only two colours are available for the Navara Trek-1° – black or white, with contrasting Trek-1° side decals finishing off the look.
