The Top EVs in 2022

This year's going to be a BIG year for electric vehicles.

2021 saw a dramatic shift in buying patterns, with more electric cars registered last year than the combined volume for the previous five years.

And there are now many more reasons to make the jump – it's still advantageous from a company car tax perspective, there's a much bigger choice available, and – of course – you won't be paying a fuel bill anymore!

Plus there's this whole saving the planet thing you've probably heard about…

With all this in mind, we thought we'd put together a list of the electric vehicles that we're hotly anticipating this year:

Watch this video!

Cupra Born

Cupra's version of the Volkswagen ID3 is sure to turn some heads, with the fabulous Cupra styling, bodywork and wheels encasing an all-electric vehicle capable of a 335-mile range.

Available with 45, 58 and 78 kWph, the Born will be very popular in 2022.

Tesla Model Y

Tesla's family SUV option will be available to order from the spring, and with a 315-mile range, will properly tap into the family market for the first time.

BMW i4

We're really excited about this one – the i4 is based on the 4 series Grand Coupe, and is a fabulous executive electric vehicle.

It's not an overstatement to describe this as a gamechanger, as BMW build on the IX3 and IX launches last year.

With a range of 367 miles and 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds, this car will be the star of 2022.

Volkswagen ID5

The ID5 is Volkswagen's Coupe offering, and it'll be available this spring, providing a range of 323 miles. We've already had a lot of interest in it, and we expect that interest to continue throughout the rest of 2022.

Nissan Qashqai e-Power

The Qashqai has been popular for years now, and we've been eagerly awaiting their electric offering.

This one isn't purely electric – you get a 1.5 litre petrol engine AND an electric engine, so if you're looking to move towards electric, but not ready to go the whole hog, the Qashqai e-Power could be the answer.

If you're interested in any of these cars, or you're looking to go electric this year and you're not sure where to start, get in touch on 0800 043 2050 or hello@conceptvehicleleasing.co.uk and we'd be more than happy to help.
