The Children's Trust 2014 - Easter Event
This year we decided to raise funds and Easter eggs for The Children's Trust, a company we have worked with multiple times previously. Our decision to raise both finances and Easter eggs was to ensure the children had eggs for their Easter fair event as well as vital funds for the charity to keep moving forwards. Our goal was to raise £100 in the form of £1 donations and we would also match each £1 donation with an Easter egg. We are happy to have exceeded our target. Read all about it here.
Red Nose Day 2013
We enjoy this time of year when Red Nose Day comes around. This year we decided to hold a 'Red Breakfast'. We all dressed up in red, wore red wigs and ate red foods, in order to earn donations for charity. Read more about our day here.
Survival of the Fittest - SUCCESS
Concept Vehicle Leasing's very own Tom Argent and John Dudley have taken part and successfully completed the "Survival of the Fittest 2011" a 10K-12K run which included 10 gruelling obstacles (including swimming a lake!), all in aid of BLISS- a charity which provides vital care for premature babies in the UK. Tom successfully completed his challenge in Nottingham on 8th October in just 1 Hour, 26 Mins. John completed his race on Saturday 12th November in London and finished with a time of 1hr 12 minutes We'd like to thank everyone who got behind the boys and us, the Concept team, we exceeded our target of £400 to raise over £500! Survival of the Fittest - a Challenge worth pursuing for Bliss.
A painful 10km run with over 10 obstacles including a lake crossing and a giant haystack is only part of what the Men's Health Survival of the Fittest is all about.
Tom Argent and John Dudley from Concept Vehicle Leasing are taking on the challenge and all proceeds are going towards 'Bliss' who provide vital help and care for babies born prematurely or sick. As a couple of the members of the Concept team were infact born prematurely, the cause is close to our hearts, and we applaud Tom and John for undertaking such an arduous challenge. Tom's Survival of the Fittest takes place Saturday 8th October in Nottingham, and we will update this page with pictures and thoughts from both Tom and John, who takes on the challenge in London in November.
The boys have set a target of £400, and would love to beat this target, so to help them do so please visit http://www.justgiving.com/conceptvehicleleasingand donate to this worthy cause.
Flip Flop Friday for Ben
To celebrate Ben's 106th Birthday, the theme was 'On the beach'. Concept Vehicle Leasing hosted a Flip Flop Friday to get into the beach spirit, and we raised over £35! We had great fun complete with pizza (our sort of beach food), summer clothes and... flip flops! To see all the pics, like us on Facebook today!
Our Easter Charity and Social Media Initiative
Just before Easter, we came up with a plan, to increase our Social Media followers and doing something good for a brilliant cause. So, we decided that for every new follower and like on Facebook and Twitter, we would donate an Easter egg to the children at The Children's Trust in Tadworth.
We ended up providing over 150 Easter eggs, enough to for the children AND their siblings!
Simulatenously running was a BIG EASTER WIN, where the winning guess of our Easter Bunny's name, won a Giant Lindt Easter bunny! The winner, a Twitter follower of ours, kindly decided to donate her prize to staff at The Children's Trust which meant EVEN more for such a great charity.
Corporate Fundraising Manager, Angie Turner expressed her gratitude. ‘The Children’s Trust would like to thank Concept Vehicle Leasing for their support and for helping us make a difference to children with profound disabilities throughout the UK. Great to see such an innovative idea.’ she said. For more pictures and more info, please click here.
Red Nose Day 2011
Concept Vehicle Leasing donated for Red Nose Day by holding a 'Red Friday'. The Concept team each donated a minimum of a £1 and came into work wearing everything red - including red wigs! Our friends, family and industry colleagues also got involved by donating and wearing fancy dress which included red! It was great fun, and here are some snaps of the Concept team! We raised well over our target of £200, see our blog posts here! We'd like to thank everyone who got involved and supported this great cause.
Cancer Charity Tour Ride 2010
The 97thTourdeFrance 2010 which covers a total distance of 3,642 kilometres took place spectacularly this year from 3rd to 25th July.
British Cyclists such as Mark Cavendish continue to write new pages in Cycling history books, with Mark having just won his 12th stage in his Tour de France career - matching the stage win record of only 3 historical Tour de France cyclists, Erik Zabel,Mario Cipolline and McEwen.
Of course, Concept Vehicle Leasing are pretty much all about cars and vans – but we love bikes too! This year, our very own Customer Services Manager, Josie Bulloch took part in The ProstateCancer Charity Tour Ride 2010 as part of ‘Team Concept’ on 18th September 2010, which followed the route of the final stage of the Tour of Britain.
Joined by Vince Brand from Fairfield BMW, a preferred Concept supplier, the team followed a 20km route from 10am, prior to the final stage of the Tour of Britain, raising money for this really important cause.
The Prostate Cancer Charity is the exclusive charity partner of the Tour of Britain, which raises money to help support the 35,000 men diagnosed with Prostate Cancer each year, their families and to research for improved diagnosis and better treatments for the disease.
'Team Concept’ fundraising exceeded their original target of £500, and raised a grand total of £610. We hope to raise even more next year when hopefully there will be more of us taking up this Concept.
