As the clocks go back, let’s make sure our driving quality doesn’t

The fact that we are going into a period of more darkness requires a couple of adjustments on the part of drivers.
· Slowly speeds in early darkness, speed limits aren’t there to be targets – they are a guide.
· Turn your lights on before it gets fully dark, so you can see and be seen.
· Watch out for pedestrians and cyclists who aren’t wearing reflective clothing.
· Clean and clear – this applies to your windscreen, head lights and tail lights. The cleaner they are, the brighter they are and the more you can see!
· A spare pair of shoes in the car makes it more comfortable to drive, especially if the ones you were wearing are soaking wet from the miserable weather we are bound to get.
Stay safe, stay aware and stay calm, even when the days turn into night!
