Those cycling fans amongst you are probably now enjoying arguably the biggest cycling event of the year – the 97thTourde France 2010 which covers a total distance of 3,642 kilometres from 3rd to 25th July.
British Cyclists such as Mark Cavendish continue to write new pages in Cycling history books, with Mark having just won his 12th stage in his Tour de France career - matching the stage win record of only 3 historical Tour de France cyclists, Erik Zabel, Mario Cipolline and McEwen. Plus, favourites Bradley Wiggins and Geraint Thomas also continue to perform very well for new Team Sky in this year’s exciting tour.
If you’re keen on bike racing, you’ll probably know that this year’s Tour of Britain will take place over 8 days from 11th to 18th of September, starting in Rochdale in the North West of England, and finishing in London. 96 of the world’s top cyclists from 16 top professional international teams will take on the challenge of the Tour of Britain in 2010.
Of course, Concept Vehicle Leasing are pretty much all about cars and vans – but we love bikes too! And this year’s going to be really special, as our very own Customer Services Manager, Josie Bulloch will be taking part in The ProstateCancer Charity Tour Ride 2010 as part of ‘Team Concept’ on 18th September 2010, which will follow the route of the final stage of the Tour of Britain.
Joined by Vince Brand from Fairfield BMW, a preferred Concept supplier, the team will follow a 20km route from 10am, prior to the final stage of the Tour of Britain, raising money for this really important cause.
